bread or 1 cup cracker crumbs

finely chopped

sage

teaspoon
thyme

⁄4 teaspoon pepper
Topping

tablespoons
brown sugar

ketchup

dry mustard
Directions

Preheat your oven to 325 degrees F.

Beat the eggs with the beef broth and add in the bread crumbs. Allow the crumbs to soak and then mash with a fork to create an emulsion.

Combine the balance of the ingredients with the ground beef being careful not to over mix. Add in the soaked crumbs and fold in.

Pack into a 9 x 5 loaf pan or make a free form loaf on a sheet pan.

Bake at 325f degrees for 1 1/4 hours.

Remove from the oven, turn out of pan and place on an ovenproof serving dish.
Topping:

Mix the topping ingredients.

Brush over the meat loaf and return to the oven for 30 minutes or longer.
